‘Welcome all to Planet Kyuss, home of the riffian dwellers. I am your host, Fuzzmaster, and I will be your spirit guide as we traverse the angst-filled planes of sludge, fuzz and heavy riffage.’

 

Fuzzmaster (Fraser MacIntosh) is an Edinburgh-based musician, songwriter, producer and overall fuzzhead. His work emanates from the somewhat lost art of the riff, the sweet roaring sound of guitar fuzz and is based upon one simple goal: to spread the joys of heavy, grooving jams and celebrate the aesthetic simplicity of the mighty riff in all its earth-shattering glory.

 

A pianist in his formative years, this classically-trained background is now combined with a DIY approach to riffing, specialising in writing and recording heavy, pounding, guitar-oriented music.

He is also part of two Edinburgh-based bands; Red Larsen and A Ritual Spirit. Red Larsen are a five-piece band comprised of Edinburgh Napier University students who combine odd time signatures and unorthodox song structures with heavy riffs, psychedelic sections and elements of rap metal. A Ritual Spirit are a four-piece band whose music features catchy vocal melodies underpinned by a sound and aesthetic not so dissimilar to heavy 90s grunge bands.
